Cable Television

Cable Television was launched in 1938 in Bristol and Hull for homes that can not receive aerial transmissions. The 405Line was the oldest broadcasting system and was named A

BBC in 1960

ITV in 1959

He then switched to 625Line PAL in 1964

In 1969, British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and ITV also began broadcasting for the first time in color

During the 1960s Rediffusion Vision controlled the cable in the United Kingdom and the 625Line-PAL system. The company was renamed Rediffusion Cablevision in the early 1980s

Cable development continued in England in the 20th century until two companies controlled NTL and Telewest after swallowing small companies, and in 2005 the Andamag also covered 95% of the UK market!

The cable in the United Kingdom faces competition from digital satellite broadcasting, especially for the lack of some features such as interactive services and interactive ownership of the competition, the famous company BSkyB

Evolution of the cable in America

In 1940 and 1950, television companies were established in the United States, and the station booster service was started to reach viewers who could not reach television broadcasts. The system was named Community Antenna Television CATV, which has many claims to be the first appearance of the cable television system

It was the beginning of the broadcast of this system in Arkansas, Oregon and Pennsylvania at about the same time in late 1940

During this time, there were only a few television stations, mostly located in major cities like Philadelphia and people who did not live in the city or anywhere could easily receive signals, they could not watch television

John and Sun, the owner of a household appliance store in Mahanoy City, had trouble selling televisions because the residents of the area were poor. The problem lies in the fact that the city is located in a valley and about 90 miles from Philadelphia. The signal does not pass through the mountains surrounding the town. Receiving transmitter is impossible "

Mr. Walson put the television antenna on top of the mountain point. The TV signal came and went on a double antenna wire to the shop and then to the TV. When people saw the picture of the television on sale they immediately seized it, but it had to deliver the signal and antenna to the buyers' The responsibility for improving the image quality using a coaxial cable and a self-made poster (loudspeakers) to cable TV has become the homes of customers who bought television sets

. Therefore, the first television systems company was born in May 1948.

In the early 1950's, television was still relatively new. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) finally, after 3 years of freezing the construction of a new television station, was charged with building a TV station that reached all countries. Also sell TV antennas, each house or flat sets a television antenna on the roofs of residential complexes and began to resemble the forest of television antennas!

Milton Jerrold Shapp, who later became Governor of Pennsylvania, developed one system for that basic antenna (MATV) that can be used on all television sets in the building.

Milton Shapp

1912-1994

The secret is a coaxial cable and signal boosters capable of carrying multiple signals at once.

At about the same time in a town near Lyonsford experiencing the same problem as Mr. Wesson, another vendor named Robert Bob Tarlton (Robert) Tarlton developed the idea

It is believed that if the apartment buildings and shops worked, and can be worked on the town also, and already connected the cable to his entire city and became the cable television in a format similar to what it is today

One of the early pioneers was businessmen such as Bill Martin, Malarkey Daniels, and Jack Kent Cook

In 1952, 70 cable companies served 14,000 subscribers in each country.

By 1954, the first NBC television channel, the famous NBC, began broadcasting the first color TV sold in the commercial market from the RCA brand using the NTSC system, which was expensive ($ 1000). Color television was unable to overcome the sales of white television and Black until 1972

The use of the cable spread rapidly and some updates were introduced using microwave technology. The number of stations carried by the cable increased. The television channels reached the maximum limits and their popularity increased amid different television stations and their diversity. In 1962, 800 cable service providers served 850000 subscribers.

As a result of the increase in the number of television stations and access to the most cities, the intensification of the conflict between these companies and some companies have asked the FCC to put restrictions on the delivery of signals broadcast to certain areas and not far from the headquarters of the channel

The Council responded and established restrictions on broadcasting until 1972

Where the biggest event occurred since the beginning of the use of cable is the most responsible for increasing the use of cable an
