Internet and TV integration or compete

Media and broadcasting are no longer limited to radio and television, and movies are not on screen. The Internet has entered the world to become one of its modern means, and some channels have adopted it to re-broadcast its programs and series. Will this new medium dominate and affect television and cinema to steal their audience?

We asked some people and those concerned about the recent competition between the Internet and the big and small screens in this investigation.

Many international companies have recently launched Internet-enabled televisions that can display on the Internet at the same time, an interaction between the two devices.

Many of the production sites also allow movies to be shown live in the cinema by paying a token amount, or viewing them for free but without the ability to download, with many ad breaks.

In order to communicate more broadly and comprehensively with its viewers, many channels provided the service of broadcasting through social sites. It started with the news and sports channels and then spread to the drama and film channels that are broadcast via Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Among these are Abu Dhabi's first channels and MBC channels Providing viewers with the opportunity to see the business news on their screen, add comments and participate in discussions and conversations with friends.

Midhat Abdulrahman, an accountant at Al Shams Contracting Company in Sharjah, confirmed that he would prefer to watch the programs on the Internet because he can return to them at any time, as well as movies, because most of them are presented to The Internet after its introduction in the cinema in a short time.

"Every media outlet has a different feature to attract," says Amr Hamdi, an employee at the Babel Center for Translation in Sharjah. "Cinema, for example, has an impact through the large screen and sound, so I do not prefer to watch movies on computer screens.

Alaa Eddin Awad, a legal adviser to a Dubai travel company, says his viewing of film or television works on the Internet is minimal because he prefers to watch any art work through his own medium: television to watch dramas, programs and movies for movies, Do not display on TV.

Awad adds: I often used the Internet to follow some of the program footage first watch episodes of the series I could not see them on time.

Mohammed Al Ali, a public relations officer at a government agency in Abu Dhabi, says: "I watch film or drama through the computer because it is the closest and easiest way to me at any time and anywhere, unlike cinema and television where I have to wait for the date of the show that they set.

Amna Mohammed, a student at the University of Ajman Communication College, does not agree, but prefers to watch films in the cinema because of her ability to make the audience interact with her, which makes her distinct from other means, such as the Internet, which she considers more appropriate to follow the news and chat with friends and watch short video clips.

For his part, Dr. Ammar Bakkar, the new media director at MBC Group said that interaction with the viewer is the most important feature of the new media, which is always trying to communicate more with the public everywhere, so the Internet has the opportunity to achieve this.

"Internet TV has the ability to communicate more with the public by displaying videos or movies after a short period of time in the galleries, through certain sites that buy and offer them to the public without being able to upload them.

Bakkar explains that the Internet has become a distinctive screen to display everything new in the work of cinema and drama, which can be displayed directly in the timing of viewing on the same satellite channel, or uploaded to some specialized sites to survey the views of viewers about the episode.

Most Arab satellite channels have begun to rely on this method of marketing for their business, which has increased the percentage of viewing the work they provide online, and this has been shown through the percentage of comments put by readers.

Dr . Bakkar confirms that Internet TV will not eliminate ordinary television viewers and cinema, because each product retains its features and characteristics that make it unique to it. For example, television can not eliminate the radio, so I do not think the Internet will impose its power on the ordinary screen despite the high number of users and their judiciary Long hours ahead of him.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Ameen, Professor of Media at the University of Sharjah, believes that each medium has the ability to deliver media material to viewers from different aspects. However, online communication and viewing is a special tool at the moment, especially since a large percentage of people have everything they can connect to the Internet, Mobile.

"Internet TV can not be used on ordinary television or on cinema, because each has its own style and style," he said. "Watching the film through the cinema screen has a
